After growing up and completing a Diploma of Agriculture in Victoria, Michelle moved to Charleville in 2002 to work as a jillaroo, and has lived here ever since after falling in love with the friendly and laid back lifestyle of the region.
Michelle has worked at the Charleville Newsagency, Westpac In-Store, Elders and Warrego Couriers service. She has also completed her Diploma of Accounting, and in 2020 opened her own retail store, The Faraway Tree Charleville.
Michelle is married with two primary school aged children, and is passionate about ensuring the future sustainability and growth of our region by enhancing overall liveability to retain our residents, and encourage tourists and visitors to enjoy the Murweh Shire.
She is involved in numerous clubs and associations including the Show Society, Charleville Dance House and Girl Guides, and has represented the South West at State level for various quests including Rural Ambassador and Spirit of Queensland. Michelle believes that volunteering and encouraging others to do the same is vital to ensure the future of community groups and events in small towns.
Michelle looks forward to bringing her business and accounting knowledge, family values and community minded approach to her role as Councillor.
