Good morning Murweh Shire Rural Residents,

Valuer-General extends objection period for recent land valuations where properties have been permanently impacted by flooding

The Valuer-General has advised that she will consider late objections to land valuations from landowners in the14 Queensland councils in current disaster affected areas where land has been permanently damaged by the floods or adverse weather up until 26 March 2026.

Landowners will need to provide evidence of the resulting permanent damage caused by the adverse weather event, such as photographs, maps or diagrams.

Please find link to the Adverse weather fact sheet with further information for your perusal.

Landowners who may not have received permanent damage to their land due to the flooding, but believe their valuation is incorrect, may lodge an objection within 60 days of the valuation notice date, which closes on 25 May 2025.
